Phrenology
Scrimshaw refers to the handiwork created by whalers made from the bones and teeth marine mammals, and takes the form of elaborate engravings of pictures and lettering on the surface of the bone or tooth, with the engraving highlighted using candle black, soot or tobacco juice.  The making of scrimshaw began on whaling ships between 1745 to 1759 on the Pacific Ocean, and survived until the ban on commercial whaling.

Screamshaw™ pendants are individually crafted from 100% reclaimed beef bone, with the images etched (not printed) into the surface of the bone, using a proprietary process. They come with a natural suede lanyard, in either brown or black, for you to wear as a necklace, hang from your car mirror, use as a key fob, or even a zipper pull.

Due to the unique nature of this item, the size, shape and color of the bone will vary. Round or square designs tend to be approximately 1" wide by 1-1/2" long, while taller designs can be up to 4" in length.

Made in the USA by Frey Innovations, LLC, no two Screamshaws are alike!

$19.99 each
